African Daughters’ Initiative Network (ADIN) is a registered 501(c) (3) Public Benefit Not for Profit Organization established in accordance with international norms and the requirements of Missouri State of USA Nonprofit Corporation Law. ADIN aims to bring together African National Women and Youth led Organizations as actors to dialogue on leadership and climate change, advocate for development pathways and hold states accountable to the commitments on the regional and global leadership and climate change relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ADIN is a network of African National Women and Youth led organizations as well as International Partners and Stakeholders committed to combating Leadership, Climate change, promoting sustainable development for the benefit of Africa.

OBJECTIVES

  • Coordination of policy dialogues and Lobby for increased total public funding for women and youth leadership, climate change adaptation in Africa and improved accountability of financing from both the public sector and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
  • Lobby for increased total public funding for leadership and climate change adaptation in Africa and improved accountability of financing from both the public sector, Youth and Women Rights Organizations (WROs).
  • Enhance CSOs momentum member organization’s capacity to effectively coordinate, support each other and provide advocacy solutions in Africa.
  • Build the capacity of CSOs and other stakeholders to effectively coordinate, support and monitor the nature of leadership as well as flow of climate financing in Africa.
  • Promote awareness and education by providing a network for leadership, climate change technology, knowledge management and capacity building by 2050. Lobby for increased involvement of women, youth and marginalized groups in the formulation of leadership, climate change policies, planning and implementation of climate change actions.
  • Collaboration, partnership building and involvement of national and international stakeholders on leadership, climate change and environmental justice issues.
  • Setting up of thematic working groups and organizations of their work.
  • Advice and guidance on leadership, climate change and environmental justice.
  • Research and Documentation and information sharing with members and stakeholders.
  • Implementation of policy and special programs.
