Knight Muteti

Knight Muteti is the Executive Director of Daughters of Kenya. She is an Ashoka Visionary and a Change maker; an executive program that enables visionaries to gain skills to master both entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial challenges and to generate Social Impact. She possesses strong academic grounding in Social Work; a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work; Second Class Honors Upper Division from the University of Nairobi. Knight is also a strategic team leader, a communicator, very good in networking and an Excellent Manager with MBA; Strategic Management from the University of Nairobi. Ms. Muteti was conferred on the Award of ICONIC WOMEN CREATING A BETTER WORLD FOR ALL at the global Women Economic Forum 2017 held on 8-13, May 2017; New Delhi, India. She has also participated in leadership Training, Forums, Workshops, Conferences and Global Meetings in Uganda, Rwanda, Nigeria, South Africa, Italy, Norway, Malaysia, Switzerland and France.

Ruth Soi

Ruth Soi is the current Ashoka East Africa Fellowship manager and Visionary program lead based in Nairobi, Kenya. She works with social innovators and entrepreneurs across East Africa in collaboration with Ashoka Africa to ensure full engagement with regional offices and strategic alignment with entrepreneurs, changemakers and essential ecosystem players. In her current role, Ruth manages and coordinates the Visionary program in East Africa in close interaction and collaboration with other program partners. In her previous role as the Business development and marketing manager of Nexus Co-work, Ruth was a network builder with a track record of supporting and implementing business development, branding and marketing in the co-working space. Ruth holds five honors among them; Higher Achiever Award Certificate from Edexel and Community Service Award from United States International University-Africa (USIU), holding a bachelor’s in arts degree in psychology, currently pursuing her masters in Clinical Psychology from USIU.

Paul Wafula

Paul Wafula has over ten years of experience in project planning, coordination, management, monitoring and evaluation. He also possesses significant skills and practical experience in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of education programs, disability inclusion, gender, life skills and economic empowerment programs. He is also highly experienced in research, training and curriculum development fields. He has been vastly engaged with training and advocacy involving children and young people’s economic empowerment, psychosocial support as well as inclusion activities in schools and colleges.

Paul holds first degree in Education from Kenyatta University and Masters in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi.

Peninah “Nemo” Kimiri

GBV Technical Advisor (MA in Psychology)

Nemo is a consummate gender professional with over 6 years of experience in prevention and response to Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in 13 countries across Sub Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. Survivors and stakeholders depend on her to deliver expert and practical implementation strategies on mitigating GBV. A significant aspect of her work has entailed supporting and complementing existing structures on national, regional and global levels, specifically: gender and GBV mainstreaming, case management, capacity building, social behaviour change communication (SBCC), and institutional strengthening. This experience paired with her strong communication skills has been critical in advocating for access to health care and social services interventions for survivors, developing one-stop centers, contributing to relevant tools, guidelines, policies and bills affecting GBV and CSO shadow reporting on ACRWC, CEDAW,  and UPR

Clifford Biko

Clifford Biko Ngwalla is a holder of an MA in Research and Public Policy and a BA in Political Studies and Sociology. He has over 10 years’ experience in senior management and as a social entrepreneur and public policy analyst. He is a co-founder and former CEO of Wonderland Foods Ltd, a leading corporate hospitality concern. Prior to this he worked in the aviation industry with Kenya Airways PLC for 7 years. He currently serves in the Board of Advisors of Daughters of Kenya and is also the co-founder and coordinator of the Daughters of Kenya Institute of Entrepreneurship.
